Drew Shih

Drew, a Taiwanese-American from Dallas, Texas is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and completed his Masters of Divinity from Regent College. Before devoting his life to the ministry, Drew held various jobs such as waiter, basketball coach, abstinence education speaker, IT consultant, and even owned his own import/export business. He has lived as a missionary and pastored extensively in Asia both in Seoul and Taipei. Known in Taiwan as the “non-traditional pastor,” Drew loves to help all people know God through Scripture, whether in church or in the streets. Able to connect with people from all walks of life, and ethnicities, Drew has a proven track record in discipleship and training small group leaders in cross-cultural settings. He has been married for over 10 years to Sarah, who is Canadian-Korean. They have 4 daughters together.

Jeffrey Lin

Jeff, a Chinese-American from New Orleans, Louisiana is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he and Drew met. After several years in corporate America as an IT technician, he made the jump to the film industry in Los Angeles as a producer. During his time in Los Angeles he was captivated by the missionary heart of God and began to have a longing to participate in God’s work around the world. Jeff is passionate about helping others live out their purpose in Christ. He and his wife, Joy, currently live in Taiwan.

Jon Chia

Jon, a Chinese-American from Dallas, Texas is a graduate of Vanderbilt with a bachelors in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. He went on to complete his Masters of Science at Washington University in St. Louis. He then worked in the Netherlands for 3 years as a software engineer in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before returning to the United States to continue his work. Jon has a great love of sharing God’s Love and Truth with those around him. He especially finds joy in developing Christian leaders through small groups and short-term missions trips. He currently lives in Dallas with his wife Jade and their two sons.

Advisors

Our advisors all have a passion for God’s word, discipleship, and spreading the gospel. We have cultural advisors and theological advisors. Our cultural advisors make sure our content is relevant and contextualized appropriately. Our theological advisors make sure our content is biblical, and theologically sound. Our advisors who are bi-lingual also review the content to make sure our translations are accurate and reflective of our theological DNA.

Darrell

Darrell Johnson

Darrell Johnson has been preaching Jesus Christ and His gospel for over 46 years. He has served a number of Presbyterian congregations in California, Union Church of Manila in the Philippines, and the historic First Baptist Church in the heart of Vancouver, Canada. Darrell has written numerous books on preaching and has been a preaching professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, Regent College, and Carey. Darrell Johnson and his wife Sharon have been married 39 years, and have raised four children adopted from four different countries of the world. They have five beautiful grandchildren.

Dr. Jon Ro

Dr. Jon Ro is a 6th generation Chinese-American and a 2nd generation Korean-American. He grew up as a missionary kid in Singapore and Taiwan. As a graduate from Wheaton College, he also holds a MDiv and PhD (Intercultural Studies) from Trinity International University. He has pastored several churches in the Chicagoland area for 17 years and currently serves as a Professor of Intercultural Studies. His passion is to train up missionaries and church leaders to support a mission sending movement from Asia. He and his wife Faith have 3 children, Caitlyn, Calvin and Christian.

Dr. Bob Ekblad

Bob Ekblad is the founder of Tierra Nueva located in Burlington, Washington, a ministry serving immigrants from Latin America, inmates, homeless people, and people struggling with addictions. He holds a ThD in the Old Testament and is known internationally for his courses and workshops on reading the Bible. Training current pastoral workers and future leaders to minister to people on the margins of society is one of Bob’s highest priorities and passion. Bob and his wife Gracie have 3 children, Isaac, Luke, and Ana.

Dr. Daniel Huang

Dr. Daniel Huang is a pediatrician at the famous MacKay Children Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. He has two weekly TV shows focused on a healthier lifestyle for children and bringing good values to Taiwanese families. Dr. Daniel has a passion for helping people know Christ and encourages parents to enjoy parenthood in the love of God. He and his wife Grace have 2 children.

Dawen Wang

Dawen Wang is a Mando-pop singer songwriter based in Taipei. Raised non-denominationally, Dawen enjoys reading the Bible (even Leviticus, and Numbers!) and studying the Word, especially in small groups. You can never have too many small groups! Po chia

Pochia was born and raised in Taiwan. She studied psychology as an undergrad and went to England to continue her study in psychology of education. After she returned, she started working in the publishing division of IFES Taiwan for 2 years as an editor and translator. In 2015, she went to Vancouver, Canada to pursue theological education in Regent College, during which she continues to work as an editor, translator and interpreter. Pochia attended Hsin-Yi Friendship Presbyterian Church in Taipei and is currently an active member in University Chapel while working towards a MA degree in Old Testament.

Enoch Chang

Enoch was born in Taiwan and grew up in Chicago. He studied mathematics as an undergrad before going to law school. Enoch worked as a lawyer in San Francisco for four years before moving to Taipei to work for the vice president of Taiwan as a speechwriter. While living in Taipei, Enoch was an active member of the Pearl Church in Taipei. Enoch moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2010, where he resumed his legal practice. He is an active member of University Chapel, previously serving as its treasurer and is currently a board member.
